My life has taken some unexpected twists and turns, especially within the last year. Recently I obtained a serious personal achievement. I took the national exam and received a license to practice massage therapy in the state of Missouri. I have not touched this profession in over 20 years! It was tucked away in a pile of things I never finished. Lost, forgotten, neglected. Much like myself. But, I am waking up now. I am seeing the pain and suffering I would hide away for safe keeping, so no one would know that I was hurting or that I wasn’t as strong and put together as I liked to think I was. I am no longer writing non-fiction, now it’s all a true story. My story of a wedding planner turned divorcée. My story of a neglected child turned into that of a woman who knows her worth. Or maybe I will write about how I won’t let my past define my future? Scratch that.

My next story will be my success story.
